It’s our third day in Satu Mare. We are well looked after by the Romanian team. During the official welcoming ceremony at Liceum Cu Program Sportiv on Monday, we presented our countries, towns and schools, heard the welcoming speeches and watched a traditional dancing performance by cute primery school kids. We got to know each other while doing the team building activities. After the first common lunch we discovered the town in the treasure hunt. Each group completed all the tasks successfully so we got well deserved prizes and diplomas.
The second day began with a visit to the town hall where we were kindly greeted by the vice Mayor. Then we all took part in the mini marathon (4.2km) and each of the countries planted a tree at the stadium area leaving a permanent trace in Satu Mare adding up to the ecological aspect of our project. After lunch most of us managed to climb the several hundred iron steps of the firemen’s tower to have a look at Satu Mare from the above. It was challenging but the impressive view compensated for our efforts. Satu Mare is charming and we are still discovering it. Yesterday evening most of the group visited the Art Museum with impressive paintings of local artists. We are eager to discover more each day.
